Tips for better puzzles: If not all words fit, hit Reload for a new layout - the generator places words randomly each time. Use a larger grid size for longer words. Phonics words are often short, so the 12×12 grid works well for most CVC and short vowel sets.
Multi-word entries: You can enter short phrases ('police officer', 'a cat') but the space counts toward the puzzle size, so keep entries short.
Text hints: Hints print exactly as you type them - use caps if you want caps. The image hint version pre-fills the puzzle word from the image caption, but you can edit it to anything you like.
