Word Search Generator

that lets you make a variety of fun classroom activities that you can print for free. What is unique about this wordsearch maker is that you can use images to represent the puzzle text. So, it's great for young learners, beginner reades and for language classes.

Select an image and enter the text that you'd like to use. The image is not anchored to any text, so you can write anything you'd like: the word ('cat'), write the word with an article ('a cat'), or a sentence ('This is a cat.')

Use this next section only if you want to change the text hints below the puzzle! You can enter the word jumbled, write a description of the item students will look for, write the word with missing letters (c_t), or anything you can think of. If you just want the puzzle word listed, just leave this field blank. List them one per line.

You can toggle between text and image hints if you are using the Fun Fonix image groupings, but for more options with text only formats, it's best to use:

the text only version

If you use multiple words ('police officer' for example), the maker will leave a space for that word. So, you can enter short sentences, but be careful. You can't exceed the size of the board.

If you use text hints, they will be entered below the puzzle just as you typed them. If you want caps then you'll need to type them in caps.
